I tend to automatically replace the wires on vintage drums I acquire. I dont use a lot of tension on my snare wires, so they dont stretch out too much. These are the same wires we use on our Ellis brand of drums, so we always have sets on hand that I can buy if the need arises.ĭont get me wrong, the Puresound wires are great and Ill use them without complaint, but when money is a little tight, Ill use the pictured wires in a heartbeat without reseveration.
